When I tried to use GLsetup it totally screwed up my video. I also had problems with BUGDOM on my Win 98-SE / 3DFX Voodoo3 2000 system. So if you guys figure it out, we would really appreciate you letting us know! Thanks!! We’re having the same problem on Windows 98 with three error messages: “cannot create a primary sound buffer, sound is disabled”, then “error Q3view start rendering failed” and “Q3 Style submit failed.” Our six year old got the game for Christmas and really wants to play!! We are not terribly computer literate and haven’t even figured out which openGL to download after Bugdom support suggested that we do so. Other than the DirectX version, I haven’t had time to find any other differences. It runs on my laptop which is running Windows 98 using a Rage Pro LT (same as Rage Pro but for laptops), and DirectX 7.

The only thing I can say is that there is hope. Haven’t heard back since I told them that wouldn’t solve anything. Support has been useless since all they could offer was to defrag the drive and re-install.
I have updated the Rage Pro drivers to the latest “uncertified” version with OpenGL support, updated QuickTime (which as you noted is where the error is being generated), and updated to DirectX 8. I downloaded opengl95.exe anyway, uncompressed it, but all the DLL’s and LIBs were the same size/date of my existing files. I thought V1.1 was the latest version, and came with win/95 OS/R2. The tech support folks for Bugdom emailed me and said to update to the latest version of OpenGL. Whenever I try to run BugDom, I receive the error:Ĭan anyone help me out on figuring out what is wrong. I’m running Windows/95 OSR2, and have used GLsetup to update my video drivers (ATI Rage Pro) to the latest level. I’ve just installed BugDom from Pangea Software.
